Norwich move for midfielder Rae
Norwich City have made an approach for Scotland midfielder Gavin Rae, recently released by Rangers.
Carrow Road assistant manager Jim Duffy told the Daily Record: "Gavin is one of a number of players we are looking at and he's someone I know very well.
"He has been at Rangers, he's a Scotland international and he is a player we have discussed.
"We have spoken to his agent and hopefully we'll get the chance to have a further chat later this week."
Rae, capped 11 times for Scotland, joined Rangers from Dundee in January 2004.
However, a series of injuries curtailed the 29-year-old's Ibrox career and he was not offered a new contract.
Hearts have expressed an interest in Rae but the player has said he would like to experience football in England.
