Cypriot call for young Cobblers

Northampton Town youth-team duo Odysseas Economides and Alexandros Konstantinou have been named in the Cyprus Under-19 squad.

Left-winger Economides and striker Konstantinou will attend a summer training camp.

"This is a fantastic coup for us," said Cobblers head of youth Geoff Harrop.

"They are both good young players who are developing well and this recognition will have come as a massive boost for them."

He continued: "Sean Parrish and all the coaches have worked very hard this season and this sort of recognition is just rewards for all their efforts."

Youth-team coach Parrish said: "I am delighted for them both and first and foremost it's a great opportunity for them.

"They have both worked really hard this year and this recognition is a great reward for the effort they have put in over the season.

"They thoroughly deserve this opportunity, hopefully they will enjoy the experience and come back from it better players."
