Middlesbrough's on-loan midfielder Isaiah Osbourne has revealed the club's players are puzzled at their inability to finish teams off this season.
The Teessiders' latest defeat came at Crystal Palace on Saturday despite dominating possession and chances.
"We feel very baffled but it's been like that throughout the season from what I heard," the 22-year-old Aston Villa player told BBC Tees.
"We're having so many chances and we're not putting them away."
Having spent time at Nottingham Forest last season, Osbourne already had experience of the Championship, coupled with Premier League and Uefa Cup experience with his parent club Aston Villa.
And the former England under-16 international admitted match fitness and game-time was the main reason for joining the club, and is keen to make an impression at the Riverside.
"It's about mainly playing games, and I haven't played for a long time," he added.
606: DEBATE" Isaiah controlled the midfield and longer term along with O'Neil could form a formidable partnership "
"I feel like I need to play a few more games and you never know what it leads to.
"It's been OK. I've been here since Thursday and have got to know them a bit better. We've got a couple of weeks to get things right and hopefully next game we can win it."
