Middlesbrough complete Lee deal

Lee has not played the required 75% of competitive internationals for his country in the last year but had been injured for the majority he missed.

Boro coach Colin Cooper told BBC Radio Cleveland: "We've tested him physically and tactically.

"He's missed a lot of football, and he seems keen and very hungry to play."

The striker, who has scored 22 goals in 64 appearances for South Korea, has signed an 18-month contract with Boro.

Highly-rated Lee missed out on the chance to put himself in the shop window at the 2006 World Cup after injuring knee ligaments in April.

And the 2002 semi-finalists missed his predatory eye for goal in Germany when they crashed out at the group stage.
