Ahmed wants rise in Asian players
Mansfield Town's on-loan midfielder Adnan Ahmed has said he hopes to see an increase in the number of Asian footballers in the English game.
The 24-year-old is working with schools to educate young Asian footballers.
Ahmed told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It's amazing how the kids don't have a clue what football's about.
"They don't realise if you're just playing with Asian teams you're not going to get scouted - you need to get into the mainstream."
The Pakistan international added: "It's all about education - once they know how to get there the players will come through."
Ahmed joined Stags on a month-long loan from Tranmere Rovers at the end of October.
