Stags will not contest deduction
Mansfield Town have confirmed they will not appeal against the Football Conference's decision to dock them four points for fielding ineligible players.
The Stags admitted three rule breaches for fielding an ineligible player and nominating ineligible players on the substitutes' bench on 6 October.
The points, which were picked up from a win and a draw at the start of the season, will now be officially removed.
The club said were disappointed with the decision but the hearing was fair.
Speaking when the deduction was first announced earlier this month, a Mansfield spokesman said: "It's the club's belief that points should be won and lost on the pitch.
"There are 90-plus points available, there is time to win them this season and our resolve to do so has been strengthened."
