Scolari cool on Ronaldo rumours
Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has played down claims that Cristiano Ronaldo should leave Manchester United for Barcelona.
Ronaldo, 22, has had rave reviews this season, leading to the Portuguese winger being linked to a summer move.
Scolari was reported as saying Ronaldo would benefit from joining Barca but claimed he did not make the comment.
"I don't have any explanation on this matter, for what they wrote or didn't write. What I say goes in one ear and
out the other."
"He didn't say that. 100%"
Cristiano Ronaldo on Scolari's reported comments
Ronaldo scored his 15th goal of the season in United's 4-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday.
But, while tipping him to become one of the world's best players, Scolari added that all he was interested in was Ronaldo's international future.
When asked about the matter, Ronaldo said he was unaware of the reports.
"I don't know anything about it," he said. "He didn't say that - 100%."
Last week, United insisted that Ronaldo was not for sale - at any price.
