Giggs out until New Year

Ryan Giggs (right) has suffered yet another injury

Giggs missed United's 1-1 Champions League draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night after pulling up in training during Monday's training session in Germany.

"Ryan's pulled his hamstring and these things take around six weeks to heal," said Sir Alex Ferguson on the club's official website.

The news is a major blow to Giggs, who had recently recovered from an injury that had kept him out for three weeks before the recent match against Leicester City.

The Welsh winger will now miss United's hugely important trip for the game against Arsenal at Highbury on Sunday, as well as vital home games against Chelsea and Boavista.
