Petrov undergoes knee operation
Manchester City's Bulgarian winger Martin Petrov has undergone knee surgery and is expected to be out for between three and four months.
The 29-year-old Petrov injured the meniscus in his left knee playing for Bulgaria in October.
City had delayed the operation in the hope that Petrov's injury could be cured by a bout of strengthening work.
But that approach failed to resolve the problem, prompting City to opt for the operation and lengthy rehabilitation.

Petrov had only just returned from a hamstring injury when he was injured on international duty.
