Finnan signs new Liverpool deal
Liverpool's Republic of Ireland full-back Steve Finnan has agreed a new two-year contract to stay at Anfield.
The 31-year-old is now under contract until June 2009, with the option of another year at Anfield.
The Republic of Ireland international joined the club in 2003 and has made close to 200 appearances.
He joins Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina and Momo Sissoko in pledging his future to the club this summer.

Finnan was signed by former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier in a £3.5m deal from Fulham four years ago.
He was part of the Liverpool teams that won the Champions League in 2005 and the FA Cup in 2006.
Finnan agreed the new deal before Liverpool's pre-season tour of Asia and has now signed the contract.
