Benitez determined to keep Reina

Jose Reina Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez says he has no intention of selling Spain international goalkeeper Jose Reina.

Reina, 24, who joined Liverpool in a £6m move from Villarreal in the summer of 2005, has been linked to a move to Spanish club Valencia.

The Spanish keeper endured an uncertain start to the season, but Benitez said: "I am surprised to hear about this.

"We were not talking with Valencia. We are talking about his future, here, not at another club."
