Kaiserslautern 3-2 Liverpool

A late Marcel Ziemer strike handed Kaiserslautern a narrow victory over Liverpool in Germany.

New signings Craig Bellamy, Gabriel Paletta and Mark Gonzalez all started while Jermaine Pennant began the game on the substitute's bench.

Ricardo Villar gave the hosts the lead before Welsh striker Bellamy equalised on the hour mark.

Luis Garcia put Liverpool ahead eight minutes later but Ziemer bagged two in the last 20 minutes to snatch the win.
