Jefferies hails impressive Killie

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies was delighted to give the club's travelling supporters a rare away win following the 2-0 victory at Hearts.

A Grant Murray header and Paul Di Giacomo's strike gave Jefferies' men their first victory away from home in the league since September.

Jefferies said: "It's good for the supporters, they've stuck with us.

"It was nice to have something to cheer about because we've not had a lot to cheer about this season."

The Kilmarnock boss was also full of praise for his side's second-half performance.

"I thought the team played well second half and it was very encouraging," he added.

"We passed it better and we got more movement. Once we scored you could see a little bit of confidence in the team."
