Former Aston Villa striker Stefan Moore has been offered a short-term contract with Kidderminster Harriers.
The 25-year-old is set for an immediate debut, manager Mark Yates having vowed to 'freshen' things up for Saturday's home date with Ebbsfleet United.
Moore has been without a club since ending last season on a short-term contract at Walsall.
He has hit seven goals in a nomadic seven-year career with seven different league clubs.
But he impressed Yates with two goals in a friendly win at Bewdley Town last week and Moore cannot wait for this latest chance at Conference level.
"I've had a lot of time without playing any football," Moore told the Harriers club website. "I just want to get my head down and work hard, and show everyone what I can do.
"We need to pull our fingers out and get a result""I've trained for a few weeks so I'm fit enough really. I just want to get in the team and impress everyone.
"I've had enough of not playing and spending months on the bench at places. I just want to play games and do well.
"The confidence here is very high but we've had two indifferent results so Ebbsfleet is a big game.
"We need to pull our fingers out, make sure we do what we've been doing well recently and get a result."
Moore, whose younger brother Luke is still playing Premier League football at West Bromwich Albion, had loan spells at Chesterfield and Millwall before leaving Villa for Queens Park Rangers in June 2005.
He has since also been on loan at Leicester City and Port Vale before moving to Walsall in February following his release by QPR.
