Yates pleased with Creighton deal

Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates has admitted his relief at centre-back Mark Creighton agreeing a new two-year deal earlier this week.

Other clubs had been interested in signing the 26-year-old defender.

"It was vital that we managed to keep Mark for next season," Yates told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"There were a few clubs sniffing around and it was important that we moved as quickly as we could to tie up one of our better players."
