Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed midfielder Lee Cox from Leicester City.
The 18-year-old, who came through the ranks at his local club, has agreed a one-year contract with the outfit relegated to Division One.
Cox had yet to make a first-team appearance with the Championship side but had a spell on loan to Yeovil Town.
Caley Thistle boss Terry Butcher told his club website: "He is the first to come in from our list of targets."
Butcher was hopeful of further signings in the coming weeks.
Under-19 players Shane Sutherland, a striker, midfielder Gavin Morrison and goalkeeper Kyle Allison have been offered first-team contracts.
But Struan Scott-Woodhouse, Stuart Leslie and Michael Finnis have not been offered new terms.
Centre-half Finnis has joined Highland League neighbours Clachnacuddin.
