Marney agrees new Hull contract
Hull City midfielder Dean Marney has agreed a new three-year contract extension at the Premier League club.
The 24-year-old's present deal was due to expire at the end of this season but a new contract will keep him at the KC stadium until July 2012.
"It's nice to get things sorted out. There was never any doubt that I wanted to stay," he told Hull's website.
"We're a Premier League club and I would be mad to think about leaving. I'm settled here now."
Marney has made 77 starts for City since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2006.
Marney has claimed a regular place in the Tigers starting line-up since the club were promoted to the top flight.
The Barking-born player has made one appearance for England U21s, against Holland in February 2005.
Hull, who are currently sixth in the table, host Manchester City on Saturday.
