Ternent takes heart from home win
Huddersfield Town manager Stan Ternent wants his side to build on Saturday's victory over Northampton - their first home league win of the season.
Ternent told BBC Radio Leeds: "All's well that ends well, It's three very welcome points and hopefully we can build on it.
"Hopefully this'll give them confidence and a big lift."
Ternent also hopes to extend the loan of Derby striker Liam Dickinson who has scored twice in a five game loan spell.
The 3-2 win over Northampton moved Town out of the League One relegation zone and Ternent admitted it had come as a relief to the players.
"I'm delighted for them - they were a bit nervy towards the end but all is well that ends well.
"They showed a bit of courage and conviction, but I think we need to brush up on our finishing because similar to last week we had numerous opportunities to score goals in the first half."
"Whatever way we won it wasn't really important, it was just about winning"
Huddersfield boss Stan Ternent
Northampton's late goal ensured a nervy finish for Town, and Ternent said that defence was one area they needed to improve.
"We've got to brush up on that. When you've got to score three goals at home to win, then that can't be right really, but we'll get better and it's a monkey off the lads backs and that's the main thing.
"Whatever way we won it wasn't really important, it was just about winning at the Galpharm and I've got to say the crowd were fantastic."
