Lothian and Borders police have said the Hibernian striker Derek Riordan will face no further action after he made a gesture towards Hearts fans.
Referee Craig Thomson booked Riordan for gesturing to the Hearts support as he was being substituted during a Scottish Cup defeat in January.
The police launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from a member of the public.
But no further action will be taken after the complaint was not pursued.
Steven Fletcher was dismissed earlier in the match following a rash challenge on Christophe Berra and missed Hibs' league match against St Mirren.
Hibernian decided not to appeal Fletcher's red card after losing the match 2-0 at Easter Road.
