Murray extends his stay with Hibs

Hibernian midfielder Antonio Murray Hibs midfielder Antonio Murray has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with the club.

The 20-year-old moved to Edinburgh from Ipswich in January on an initial six-month deal.

But, after impressing Hibs boss Tony Mowbray, Murray has now earned an extended stay at Easter Road.

"I said when I arrived I had to prove myself to the manager and the fans and hopefully this is proof I've done that," he told www.stellargroup.co.uk.

"I have settled in really well and I'm really enjoying myself. Everyone here has made me feel very welcome and Edinburgh is a great city," he added.

"I am enjoying my football and feel as though I am learning more every day. The team is settled under Tony Mowbray and he is an excellent coach to work for.

"We have suffered a few disappointing results in the league recently but we still have a lot to play for and hopefully we can finish the season on a high note.

"Everyone is really looking forward to the cup semi-final and the opportunity of getting our hands on some silverware."
