David Irons has been confirmed as the new head coach of Gretna, replacing Rowan Alexander ahead of the club's debut in the Scottish Premier League.
Irons, who has been caretaker since Alexander took illness leave in March, will be assisted by new director of football Mick Wadsworth.
Wadsworth says it will be a joint effort between the two of them along with Gretna's other coaches.
"Davie will be heading the show," said the former Carlisle United manager.
"And we have faith in him to be an outstanding head coach."
Alexander, who has been at Raydale Park for the past seven seasons, led the club from Division Three to the brink of the top flight.

But he has been off with stress for the past four months, allegedly after a dressing-room row.
He insisted at the end of the season that he would return as manager, but his hopes of leading Gretna in the top flight have been dashed.
There had been suggestions that a compensation deal was being negotiated.
But managing director Brooks Mileson is refusing to reveal the role, if any, that Alexander will play.

Operations director Craig Mileson added: "Davie will be in charge for the new season along with Mick Wadsworth.
"We cannot say anything about Rowan at the moment."
The 46-year-old Irons, who played for Ayr United, Dunfermline Athletic and Partick Thistle, joined Gretna six years ago as a player before being appointed assistant manager two years later.
Wadsworth has been on a scouting role for the club over the past few months and previously had the title of director of club development.
Meanwhile, Hungarian goallkeeper Daniel Illyez will join the Black and Whites on trial after an unsuccessful week with Falkirk.
The 24-year-old is available on a Bosman from REAC Budapest hopes to secure a Raydale contract.
Irons is also looking at more trialists, including another goalkeeper, Northern Irishman, Michael Ingham, plus an unnamed former Montpellier midfielder.
