Gillingham to change stadium name

Priestfield Stadium Gillingham have agreed to change the name of the Priestfield Stadium as part of a new three-year sponsorship deal.

The arrangement with the Kent Reliance Building Society means from 1 June the ground will be known as the KRBS Priestfield Stadium.

The new deal will earn the Gills at least £120,000 per year.

Chairman Paul Scally told BBC Radio Kent: "I felt, given the size of the contract and the potential earnings, it was appropriate to change the name."
