Kamara operation blow for Fulham
Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara will undergo reconstructive surgery on his knee and is expected to be out until the new year.
The 27-year-old ruptured his cruciate ligament against Liberia last month while on national duty with Senegal.
Kamara, who scored seven times last season after signing from West Bromwich Albion, will have surgery on Friday.
"The club estimates that Diomansy will be out of action for six months," said a statement on Fulham's website.

It had been rumoured that the club were ready to off-load Kamara, a £6m signing last summer.
Goalkeeper Antti Niemi has also undergone surgery for a wrist injury and is expected to be back in training within three weeks.
Meanwhile, Fulham have announced the appointment of Alistair Mackintosh as chief executive officer. The 38-year-old previously held the same role with Manchester City until leaving last month.
