Injured McBride faces months out
Fulham striker Brian McBride is facing several months on the sidelines after dislocating his kneecap in the act of scoring in their loss to Middlesbrough.
McBride opened the scoring in the 2-1 defeat but buckled in pain as his left knee gave way, and was stretchered off.
The Fulham captain was accompanied in an ambulance to hospital by Hameur Bouazza, who dislocated his shoulder.
"It was a freak injury to Brian, with minimal contact really," said Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez.
"Then we lose Hameur almost straightaway. He has dislocated his shoulder with an innocuous challenge."
