Volz signs new contract at Fulham
German defender Moritz Volz has signed a contract extension which will keep him at Fulham until 2009.
Volz, 23, joined Fulham on a permanent basis from Arsenal in 2004 after an initial loan spell.
He is nearing his 100th appearance for Fulham and scored his first Premiership goal at Aston Villa in July.
"I'm very glad that I've now signed my extension with the club. Things are going well and we want to progress as a team," he told the club website.
Volz has shown impressive versatility this season by moving into midfield to cover for Fulham's injury-hit squad and has built up a rapport with fans since his switch from Arsenal.
