Forest Green Rovers have signed Republic of Ireland international Joe O'Cearuill on non-contract terms.
The 22-year-old defender has joined in time to figure in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie against Mansfield Town.
"Joe can add something, I worked with him at Watford before he signed for Arsenal," Rovers boss Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"I saw his name crop up training at Boreham Wood. As soon as I found out he was available I've got him down here."
He added: "He's a good player, so he will bring something to the team."
O'Cearuill started his career at Leyton Orient and has also had spells at Watford, Arsenal, Brighton, Barnet and St Patrick's Athletic.
He won two full caps for the Republic of Ireland in 2007 under then national team manager Steve Staunton.
