Lescott glad to be scoring again
Everton defender Joleon Lescott has revealed his delight at scoring his first goal of the season.
The 26-year-old England international, who scored 10 goals last season, headed the equaliser in Saturday's 3-1 Premier League win at West Ham.
The centre-back told BBC Radio Merseyside: "We had been practising finishing in the week and it paid off.
"I've [definitely] had a slow start in front of goal, but it was nice to get on the scoresheet."
Everton have now taken 10 points from the last 12 on offer in the Premier League and Lescott is urging his team-mates to maintain their focus.
"It's important not to get carried away.
"We know Middlesbrough is going to be a massive game and a tough game but we're at home.
"On the back of our last result we'll be confident."
