Everton seal Gardner loan switch
Everton have signed Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old joined Tottenham from Port Vale for £1m in 2000 but a succession of injuries have restricted his progress.
He played a total of 144 games for Spurs but he has played only six times this season, his last appearance coming against Getafe in October.
Gardner has won one England cap, featuring against Sweden in March 2004.
