Eastbourne bag young loan striker

Eastbourne Borough

Blue Square Premier side Eastbourne Borough have signed Reading's 18-year-old striker Viktor Unnar Illugason on an initial one-month loan deal.

Borough have moved into the transfer market after last season's top scorer Andy Atkin tore a calf muscle.

Illugason has been capped by Iceland at Under-17 and Under-19 level but has yet to make his Royals first-team debut.

The Reykjavik-born forward goes straight into the squad for the Tuesday game with Forest Green Rovers.
