Manager prize for Pars' McIntyre

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre has won the Irn Bru First Division manager of the month award after an unbeaten run during September.

The Pars recorded draws with Dundee and Morton and also picked up a 3-1 win over Ross County.

But the club's most impressive result last month came in the Co-operative Insurance Cup, triumphing over SPL side St Mirren at East End Park.

That 2-0 win earned McIntyre's side a quarter-final against Dundee United.

McIntyre was appointed as caretaker player/manager in December following the departure of Stephen Kenny.

A month later, McIntyre was given the job on a permanent basis and the Fife side currently sit third in Division One.
