Derby boss eager for Forest clash
Derby County manager Paul Jewell has said he is eager for his first East Midlands derby after the fixture list was announced on Monday.
The Rams host Forest at Pride Park on 1 November before travelling to the City Ground on 21 February 2009.
"I'm sure the first fixtures the supporters looked out for were the Nottingham Forest games," Jewell told the club's website.
"Whenever I bump into fans that is the first subject they bring up with me."
Derby have not won at Forest's City Ground since October 1971.
They open their Championship campaign at home to newly promoted Doncaster on 9 August.
And Jewell added: "It's nice to have a home game to kick off the season.
"Pride Park will be packed to the rafters, I'm sure, and with Doncaster being new to the division it's certain to be a great atmosphere."
