Jewell rues 'comic book' defence
Derby County manager Paul Jewell was left to reflect on more "comic book" defending after seeing his side thumped 6-2 by Arsenal at Pride Park.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "If it wasn't so serious the goals we gave away would be hilarious. It's comic book stuff.
"The last thing I said was when we are playing against a team of this quality we cannot give them goals - whatever they get they have to earn.
"And you can't tell me they earned the first goal."
Jewell added: "We were beaten by a great team but we gave them goals.
"I just don't understand what goes through our heads at times. It sums the season up."
