Penney content with Quakers form

Dave Penney

Darlington manager Dave Penney insists he's happy with the form of his team as they prepare to host Gillingham at the Darlington Arena on Saturday.

They have drawn both of their League Two games so far, but Penney told BBC Radio Tees the performances have been better than the results suggest.

"We'd have liked a win but the performances have been excellent, other than the second half against Exeter.

"At Walsall and Notts County, we were the better side."

He added: "We're making plenty of chances, but we need to start scoring more.

"We need to start getting three points and get our first win as soon as we can."
