Dowie senior ends time at Palace
Director of football Bob Dowie has left his role at Crystal Palace with immediate effect.
Palace chairman Simon Jordan stated in June that Dowie's job was secure, despite the appointment of Peter Taylor as manager.
Dowie, whose younger brother Iain left his job as Palace boss in May and is now Charlton manager, worked with Taylor at Hendon in the 1980s.
Dowie was brought to Palace in August 2004 to improve their scouting network.
