Crewe facing goalkeeping dilemma
Crewe first team coach Steve Holland is facing a goalkeeping dilemma, after Ben Williams and Owain fon Williams both stalled on new contract offers.
Both are out of contract this summer, which could lead to Holland moving for Gretna stopper Greg Fleming.
"Ben was offered a new contract but said he would like to wait until the summer," Holland told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We then offered the number one spot to Owain but he also wants to wait. We are now looking elsewhere."
Holland refused to be drawn on who would be coming in between the posts at the Alexandra Stadium. But he is known to be an admirer of Fleming, who has also been attracting the attention of Oldham Athletic.
"We have offered the number one position for next season to another goalkeeper," said Holland. "If, in the meantime, either of our two commit themselves to us then that would change the situation."
