Crewe sweat on defensive options

Billy Jones

Crewe will sweat on their defensive options ahead of Saturday's crunch relegation clash with Oldham Athletic.

Julian Baudet picked up a knee injury in the defeat to Cheltenham, a game which both Billy Jones and Danny Woodards missed.

First team coach Steve Holland told BBC Radio Stoke: "Its something of a mini crisis at the back.

"Julian's injury is a concern so we're looking a little bit thin on the ground in defence at the minute."

Crewe need a point at the Alexandra Stadium on Saturday to confirm their League One status for next season.
