Sky Blues closing in on Morrison
Coventry City look set to win the race to sign out-of-contract Crystal Palace front man Clinton Morrison.
The Republic of Ireland striker, 29, has joined up with the Sky Blues at their training camp in the Swiss Alps.
And, having turned down a new deal at Palace, he is set to play in Wednesday night's tour friendly against Romanian side FC Brasov in Martigny.
Morrison spent three seasons in the top flight with Birmingham City in between his two spells at Selhurst Park.
Morrison, Palace's fifth highest all-time scorer with 112 goals, hit 16 last season, most of which came in an inspired mid-season run of 11 in 14 games to help the club to the Championship play-offs.
Morrison's contract has run out at Palace. And, while there are several other clubs also after him, Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman, who left Palace when Morrison was just starting out 13 years ago, appears to be leading the chase.
