Chester boss Davies lets seven go

Chester City manager Simon Davies has started the process of rebuilding his squad for next season's campaign.

Former Everton midfielder Tony Grant, plus Sean Hessey, Simon Marples, Phil Palethorpe, Simon Yeo, Dean Bennett and Adam Walker have all been released.

Chris Holroyd, Kevin Sandwith and Sean Newton have been offered new contracts and are due to give the club their decision shortly.

Paul Rutherford, Paul McManus and Sean Kelly have agreed new deals.
