Sankofa signs new Charlton deal
Charlton defender Osei Sankofa, 22, has signed a new deal to stay at the club until the end of the 2007-08 season.
Sankofa, who made 12 Premiership appearances for the club last season, said: "I'm very pleased to sign.
"I think I proved last season that I can do a job for this club and hopefully I will have a prominent involvement in the Championship.
"I want to be part of the Charlton team that gets the club back in the Premiership where it belongs."
Sankofa made his first-team debut for the club against Manchester United at Old Trafford in 2003.
He had a lengthy run in the team at right-back last season when Luke Young was injured.
