Celtic manager Gordon Strachan says comments made by Polish keeper Artur Boruc about his team-mates were "tongue in cheek".
Boruc was quoted in Polish newspapers as saying that John Hartson was lazy and Roy Keane acted like a star.
But Strachan told BBC Scotland: "It was done tongue in cheek in a football forum with about 50 Legia Warsaw fans.
"Some of the boys were disgusted they didn't get a mention. I knew of it on Tuesday, but it looks funny in print."
Referring to Boruc's comment that Hartson is the "laziest player I've seen", Strachan added: "I did see a ginger, rotund guy out doing sprints in the car park this morning."
Boruc was also quoted as saying: "There's no comparison between Legia and Celtic supporters.
"I would give a lot to see 50,000 Legia fans in Celtic's stadium. During the game I feel like I'm in the theatre or cinema.
"People come to the stadium and pick their nose, although it's a bit better during Old Firm games."
He is also less than complimentary of the goalkeeping training under coach Jim Blyth.
"The level of goalkeeper coaching at Celtic is much lower than with Legia. I have to obey their orders and as a result I'm getting fat. It's very poor but what can I do?" he said.
Regarding a potential move to Arsenal that was rumoured to be on the cards earlier in the season, he said: "I talked with (Arsene) Wenger and he wanted me to join his club at the end of the season.
"I didn't want to wait that long and if I had agreed I would have probably been axed at Celtic. I couldn't take such a huge risk before the World Cup."
