Murphy out after knee operation
Carlisle United defender Peter Murphy faces a spell of up to four weeks on the sidelines after he underwent a knee operation on Sunday.
Scans and tests showed damage to the knee area and manager John Ward admitted it was best in the long-term for Murphy to have the treatment.
"We found some damage to the cartilage, nothing severe, but enough to cause him a problem," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"It's been dealt with and Peter goes out for two to four weeks."
