Blues make Garner clause public
Carlisle United have confirmed that striker Joe Garner has a £1.14m release clause in his contract.
Garner, 20, has been linked to Nottingham Forest and United have moved to explain the situation surrounding his Carlisle future.
Chief executive David Allen told the club website: "There is nothing we can do to stop any club speaking to Joe once they have reached the trigger.
"We have always wanted to keep Joe as a Carlisle player."

What do you think of the Garner transfer saga?
The deal includes a £500,000 pay-out to Garner's former club Blackburn Rovers along with a 50% cut of sell-on fees.
Garner would also receive 5% of the fee, leaving Carlisle with a £590,000 sum.
The striker scored 14 goals in 34 appearances following his permanent £140,000 move from Rovers last August.
