Cardiff City boss Dave Jones wants rules surrounding yellow cards to be rewritten so that clubs can appeal against them.
Darren Purse's red card at QPR last weekend has been overturned, but Miguel Comminges was double-yellow-carded and is serving an automatic one-game-ban.
"If the cards are unwarranted then why can't they be changed?" said Jones.
He added: "If it's wrong, it's wrong and you should be able to turn them over just like a red card."
Comminges misses Cardiff's clash against Crystal Palace at Ninian Park on Saturday and Jones remains dismayed at his fate.
"I don't agree with the yellow card system," said Jones. "If you get a second yellow you can't appeal against it.
"Last week I thought the second yellow is wrong. Now I lose a player because I can't appeal against it."

In the wake of the 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road, he said: "They talk about respect but how much respect for the game did the ref have?"
"Purse was never a sending-off and Miguel talked to the linesman and got sent off for it.
"The referee and his assistants have to look at themselves. Is he good enough to referee at this level? I say no."
Jones says expressing such opinions was not disrespectful to Wiltshire referee Lee Probert.
Jones said: "I think a lot of it's getting blown out of proportion because I came out last week and said the referee was poor.
"Now all of a sudden they're saying I'm not showing respect. What, because I said someone had a poor game?
"If I tell my players they've had a poor game it's not that I'm not showing respect, but that's what I feel and I should be entitled to say that."

"I don't think that's got anything to do with respect. You earn the respect on a football field and the more good decisions you make then people are going to say he's had a good game, like I did a couple of weeks previous when we played Watford.
"I went to get the referee and told him I thought he handled everything . . . he didn't get every decision right and I expect that and I accept it . . . but I thought overall he had a very, very good game and I went and told him.
"I wasn't going to go last week and tell the referee I thought he'd had a very good game to show respect, when I think he's had a poor game so I think I'm entitled to do that."
Jones says managers and coaches should be encouraged to enter formal debates on how the game is refereed.
He said: "There's lots of things that need to be looked at and include us in it, give us a say and hopefully we'll try and make a better game for everybody to watch."
