Jones delight at Bothroyd opener
Boss Dave Jones was delighted with Jay Bothroyd's first goal for Cardiff that helped them to a 2-1 win over Coventry.
Bothroyd had not hit the back of the net since his £300,000 summer switch from Wolves but Jones now expects the 26-year-old's confidence to flow.
"He (Bothroyd) should have got a second with the header but he's getting in the right positions now," Jones said.
"Before he was (shooting) outside the posts rather than inside them so we'll keep working on that."
Bothroyd put Cardiff ahead after 31 minutes when he took a driven Peter Whittingham pass in his stride and slotted the ball beyond Sky Blues goalkeeper Kieron Westwood.

Has Bothroyd impressed for Cardiff?
That was the 26-year-old's first senior goal for eight months and Bothroyd then won Cardiff an 85th-minute penalty, which Ross McCormack converted to seal the win.
Coventry struck back through Scott Dann with a minute to go but Cardiff held onto their lead.
Jones also had praise for McCormack, who struck his seventh goal of the campaign.
"He was the man-of-the-match by far, he was outstanding," Jones added.
"He must have had 10 shots at goal, but if Ross stops smashing them and picks his spot then he'll get a lot more goals."
