Cardiff midfielder Riccardo Scimeca Cardiff midfielder Riccardo Scimeca was given the all-clear after being rushed to hospital on Saturday with a suspected punctured lung.

Scimeca coughed up blood at half-time after falling awkwardly during the first-half of Cardiff's 0-0 draw with Leicester at the Walkers Stadium.

But the 31-year-old was back in the Cardiff dressing at the final whistle.

Stephen McPhail (hamstring) and Kerrea Gilbert (groin) also picked up injuries during the stalemate at Leicester.

All three are doubtful for Cardiff's Boxing Day home game with Plymouth.
