Sam Hammam has really brought a high profile to Cardiff City since he's been there.
You can't argue with what he's achieved with taking the club forward to the position they are now.
If you look at the Cardiff public, there was 50% for Sam Hammam and 50% were wondering what he was bringing to the club.
Getting to know about all the financial constraints on the club over the last couple of years - £30m or thereabouts in debt - obviously there was some scepticism.
But Sam will look back on his achievements: two promotions and currently top of the Championship.
He would have loved to have had the new stadium in place while he was still chairman, but that's obviously not going to be the case now.
What he has done is a credit to him, but some people may still hold the opinion that he hasn't been particularly good for Cardiff City.
Going forward it all depends on what sort of consortium comes in behind Peter Ridsdale and the level of finance coming into the club.
Cardiff City is a prime target now with the potential of going to the Premiership.
Come January when the transfer window opens, it's a great opportunity for someone to spend money on new players to almost guarantee promotion.
But Cardiff City have got to be very careful as we've all heard about consortiums before and in my opinion two out of 10 come off.
But the new stadium has a better chance of being completed now and the club desperately needs a new stadium and everything that goes with it.
