Cambridge winger may face surgery
Cambridge United winger Courtney Pitt may have to undergo a knee operation that could see him sidelined for the first part of the season.
Pitt, 26, injured ligaments in his knee in a pre-season friendly against a West Ham XI last week.
However U's physio Greg Reid told the club's website: "Courtney has made excellent progress since his injury.
"He'll begin a rehab programme and the decision to operate will be deferred for the next week to 10 days."
Meanwhile U's midfielder Danny Brown, who had surgery on his shoulder at the end of last season, is set to return to non-contact training next week.
