Cambridge United manager Jimmy Quinn has called in a sport psychologist in an effort to turn around the side's poor recent results.
The U's have picked up just one point from their last four matches.
Quinn told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I haven't been disappointed with performances but we haven't been putting the ball in the net.
"I've brought in a mate of mine who's a sport psychologist to help us get over the finishing line."
The U's boss believes using a sport psychologist helped the side avoid relegation from the Conference last season and hopes he can now help the side hold on to a play-off place this season.
"Danny Brown's been fantastic in training, he's my captain and he'll go in to the team on Saturday"
Club captain Danny Brown will make his return from a long-term injury as the U's take on strugglers Droyslden this Saturday.
Quinn said: "I've been very careful because I want Danny chomping at the bit and he is.
"He's been fantastic in training, he's my captain and he'll go in to the team on Saturday because communication hasn't been what it should have been."
Goalkeeper Danny Potter will also return to the side after serving his one-match suspension for a red card against Ebbsfleet.
"We've got to aim for second place and if we do that then we'll definitely be in the play-offs," said Quinn.
"Another target is to stay unbeaten from now until the end of the season."
