Knill plays down talk of targets

Alan Knill

Bury manager Alan Knill has refused to set specific targets for next season.

Knill lead the Shakers from the brink of relegation to a comfortable mid-table finish in League Two.

"We just want progression. That's all I want for next season. We've only lost four or five in 19 or 20 games," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

"From where we were, that's very good. It's been fantastic for me this season. What we don't want next season is a relegation battle again."

"It's been a fantastic effort from everybody at the football club - that means, the players, staff and of course the supporters."
