Thornton hoping for loan impact
New Brighton midfielder Kevin Thornton is hoping he can have a positive impact after signing on loan from Coventry.
Thornton, 22, admits to a lively relationship with Albion boss Micky Adams in their time at the Ricoh Arena.
He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "We were best mates at times and other times we wouldn't speak to each other! But he obviously has faith in me.
"Hopefully I'll do well here and either extend the loan or go back to Coventry and kick on from there."
The Irishman made his Brighton debut as a second-half substitute in the draw with Northampton, hitting the bar with a free-kick.
He said: "I'm the type of player who just wants to get on the ball all the time and I played a part in the [second] goal, so I was pleased with that."
